"The Barcelo is always beautiful and reliably great! The staff is friendly and efficient. I only stay a night or two but do so often. It is a great place to stop after flying in and before shuttling out to someplace further afield. "

"An amazing property to stay at if you have a quick 24-36 hour layover in Costa Rica. The staff is polite and attentive, the rooms are incredibly designed to provide a cultural feel with eco sensitivities, and the best part is that the property has about 2-3 hours of hiking available on the grounds Will come back next time I'm flying through SJO"

"Pool was unsafe, no steps out just metal ladder not good for seniors with limited arm strength. Also totally unheated in the shade so too cold to stay in (February visit). One ladder was loose as well. "
