"We loved our stay! The property grounds are beautiful and meticulously kept, our rooms were clean and modern, the Splash Water Park was fun for both our 5 year old son and for the adults, the pools were clean and great for swimming with our son, the beach was clean and beautiful, and the food was AMAZING!! The breakfast buffet was fresh and had so much variety and was SO tasty, and all the restaurants were fantastic in their multi-course meals in taste, quality, quantity, and presentation. The cafe "Capuchino" was AMAZING and had the best desserts and Baileys Iced Coffees. The cocktails at the bar across from the "Capuchino" cafe was SO great at making cocktails! We loved every one! The staff was always so kind and caring and helpful, and we loved interacting with them everyday. The ocean was always at a yellow flag while we were there, so it wasn't safe enough for our 5 year old son to swim in due to strong waves, but for adults, it was great and actually warm! What a great Pacific Ocean beach! The selection of shops in the little street between the two resorts was delightful, and we found wonderful souvenirs in the shops. Overall, we HIGHLY recommend this all-inclusive! This was our second time there (with the first being in 2010 to the neighbour property RIU Guanacaste All-Inclusive), and we are so glad we went back now with our son and definitely want to go back again! "Beautiful Place, on the mountain side of the pacific coast, the main staircase from reception down to the first large pool is incredible. Birds, Monkeys, Iguanas--everywhere. Nice people, friendly service, lots of food and drink options. Beach has wonderful shells at low tide and great swimming. Rent a car for your stay and travel on your own to some of the remote beaches to the North--the roads are rough--but the adventure is something you will remember for the rest of your days. Take two big drives--go to Monte Verde and see the cloud forest--don't forget to drink some coffee in Monte Verde's small town on the way out. Then go to Rincón de la Vieja National Park and see the volcano. Just incredible. VIDA PURA"

"Fun activities in the resort and outside the resort "

"Everything was great inside The Palms hotel. It’s when you go outside and walk to the beach to the left side of the hotel and you find a lot of graffiti and trash around the area. There’s a soccer field right in front and people going to the beach park there so that’s probably why. Also there’s some homeless people that hang out there by the skate park making it feel a little sketchy. Wouldn’t recommend going through this street at night due to it being very dark with lack of lighting. "

"Randall helped us so much from when we got there until we departed with excursions transportation everyone was so friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend to go take a tour also with Samuel driver and tour guide with Daniel with Costa Rica unique tours. Oh and the views and drinks are amazing!! Pura Vida "
