It was very clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, (in both here and their sister property, Chester court hotel, next door), and the included breakfasts were excellent. "The room was very spacious and comfortable. The property is old (steeped in history) but the room had all the features we needed. The instructions were excellent and the owners were incredibly responsive and helpful. The bed was a little creaky and the pillows were a little thin/soft for my preferences, but perfectly comfortable and adequate. Great value for money. Great location. Highly recommend the breakfast!! A great stay - would stay again. "

"Appalling. Comms poor. Rubbish across both outside spaces. Landlord absent.Front door key card wierd looked like Tesco club card no instructions. No opening bedroom window - black mould on ceiling and around bath. Wall behind loo broken and decor poor. Breakfast not apparent. Bedroom door hard to close due to door not clearing thick carpet. Cheeky note to remove shoes. Full refund demanded but no reply yet. Too much money for place - any money too much."

"We stayed at Bron Y Graig for just one night during a sports weekend. It’s a beautiful and comfortable guest house with stunning views. We enjoyed chilling out in the bar room playing games and chatting. I adore William Morris print so the decor at Bron Y Graig brought me so much joy! Sadly, we had to leave before breakfast which was such a shame because the smells coming out from the kitchen were delicious!"

"The page on this website is very misleading. None of the 58 pictures are of anywhere remotely similar to the accommodation they are meant to represent!!! This is in the heart of terraced, urban Liverpool without any hint of greenery, and none of the photos are anything like the place! This impression overwhelmed any other, and was the source of my disappointment... this needs to be rectified so that future guests know what they've paid for!"

"I was able to experience staying in a typical Victorian house. The owner made sure I had all I needed; he was prompt, cheerful, and polite. Groceries, fine dining, take-out, etc. are all nearby. I especially liked the charity shops where I was able to buy old books."

"Outstanding stay at the Rondeva. Great view of the river and open space. The accommodate has everything you need and more. The beds are very good and the bathroom is modern to high standard. Parking to the rear of the building and short walk to Chester centre. Will stay again"
