"We had a wonderful stay at the river property. Ruben and his wife were wonderful and took care of us, helping to make sure that we had lots of fun with various activities. The views are beautiful from the balconies. It is a warm humid environment but the fans help. Upstairs with king bed is cooler than downstato. We were able to see howler monkeys from the porch. We also saw a sloth sleeping up in the tree. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. The walk to get to the house is quite steep so making sure that you're able to do that is imperative. We enjoyed the night hike. The meals with Dolly were delicious and very filling. She even offered the leftovers for the next day. Make sure you make a grocery shop prior to getting there as there are no stores near you. "

"We loved the place! We had excellent communication from both the owner and the property manager beforehand. The instructions were very clear and understandable. The watermelon and pineapple that were provided were delicious too! The pool was our favorite part of the home and a great way to cool off before bed. The beds were comfortable, the AC in the bedrooms did a great job, and the bathrooms were very nicely appointed. The Coati was by every morning to say hello and we saw a Toucan. The leaf cutter ants in the backyard were fascinating as well. We didn’t spend much time at the house as we had (too) many activities scheduled and were not able to explore the property as we wished. The entry road past the gate did require 4 wheel drive if you stop to lock the gate behind yourself. With momentum, a 2 wheel drive will likely make it up the road just fine. Our only minor complaint is that we found the concrete and cushion couch in the living room very uncomfortable. But that was an only an issue the one night we were home early."

"Quaint, rustic place, clean, well landscaped, friendly staff, very close to some very good restaurants, close to playa ventanas, it is wooden structure so quite rustic but goes well w the jungle vibes. "

"Had a stellar vacation at Mark and Allyson’s Jungle house. Woke every day buy 5:30, watched an amazing amount of birds right there! The house is close to everything. The grounds are incredible. Mark was quick to respond. They really do want you to have the best stay ever! We did follow their list of best places to eat as well as things to do in the area. Heads up though, if you are planning to eat in Ojochal, get reservations. Lots of nicks and crannies to discover in the area. The Pacific Ocean was warm and fun. Fishing in the area is excellent. "Pristine secluded retreat surrounded by flowers and birds! We love the cozy atmosphere and comfort! The pool is a welcome respite from the humidity. The rooms are spotless and the breakfast is delicious! "

"Wonderful place near Ojochal! So beautiful. The property is really unique and the owner takes amazing care of it. Such neat touches - the bathroom is really beautiful with handmade clay features. Hot water! The owner blows off all the leaves on the walkways daily which I think must help with the fact that we had no insects. Property is super tight. Kitchen has all essentials and we were able to make meals. No monkeys seen but heard the howlers and there were tons of birds of all kinds. Lots of toucans. And I finally got to see a red eyed tree frog! Property is beautifully landscaped and if you take a walk down the road you'll find even more incredible birds including the montezuma bird. Had a fun dining experience on a Friday evening in Ojochal listening to live music during dinner. Highly recommend!"

"This hotel was beautiful, the room was large with a lovely king size 4 poster bed. We had a great view of the sunset every night from our patio or from the spectacular infiniti pool. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel one night and the food was very good. The included breakfast was prepared fresh to order. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. I wish we would have stayed longer! "
