"The interior was newly updated and clean. The location was great. I was a little uneasy when I arrived because there was a group of what appeared to be homeless people hanging out on the benches by the front door. There was security inside helping someone with directions so maybe he was going to address later. It was very nice of the security guard to help the person with the directions. Staff was very friendly. "

"The stunning architecture, rich history, and beautiful art of this hotel captivated me and were the reasons I chose to stay here. It truly felt like I was transported back in time to another era. The landscaping was a gardener's dream, and the security at the front gate, as well as throughout the property, were always vigilant, doing an excellent job. The only downsides were the construction happening next to the hotel beach and the absence of a coffee machine in our room; we had to request one, which seemed unusual given the price of the stay. Additionally, the beach furniture and towels could use a refresher. Other than that, the hotel was immaculate, and the staff were both professional and friendly, providing exceptional service. The HMF restaurant surpassed our expectations, with the food being an absolute delight."

"I really love staying here. Each room is a condo unit so they are all different. Although my room wasn’t that great in terms of finishes, I don’t care because you can’t beat the price. The building itself is old and beautiful. It’s in a really great location, very close to the prettiest grocery store ever. You can walk to the beach, shopping, restaurants. I’ve stayed here twice and the first room was much nicer. The last one could use an update in the bathroom on the grout and overall decor but it still had all the necessities for a great stay. The bed was fantastic. I’m not super picky and wanted a good rate so it was perfect for me. Concierge and valet are very nice too. "
