"We came off the ferry at 5 am, and we were thankfully allowed to check Into a vacant room as soon as the reception was open (8:30 am) in order to take a nap before exploring the town. Giada was lovely and helpful with a booking error as well. It's a really cool, stylish little hotel in a very walkable area near the old port. We have a room on the back of the building without much of a view, but a cute little patio and it's dead quiet, which is perfect. The bathroom is nice and renovated. Trying out the breakfas tomorrow, so I can't comment on that. But we'd definitely stay here again. Grazie Mille! "

"Given that it was my first time to Palermo, I didn't know what to expect regarding our accommodations at the Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa. Upon entering the lobby, we knew it was going to be indeed "grand" and live up to its name. The staff was both helpful and friendly and our deluxe double rooms were much larger than one normally encounters in Europe. The hotel is perfectly situated in an area where everything is convenient - from restaurants and bars to shopping and major local attractions. We had a minor maintenance issue during our stay, but it was promptly repaired as soon as we alerted the front desk. More importantly though, this is a hotel where the staff is willing to go above and beyond. When we encountered an issue with our rental car while parking to check in, the hotel General Manager Signore Tintori personally intervened on our behalf, especially valuable since none of us spoke Italian. He quickly diffused the situation and alleviated a problem that could have escalated. He even took the time to follow up the next day to ensure everything was in good order. We couldn't have managed without his assistance. Without hesitation, we would return to this property when visiting Palermo again."
