"The location is very good. The room was large but they advertise AC, hair dryer and fridge in room but none of these were in my room. Thankfully it was not very hot and the fan was sufficient. I was also surprise to see that the bed was made with only the bottom sheet. There was no sheet between my body and the covers. There were many ants in the room. Finally, the mattress was like a rock. It seems to me as if it was a boxpring not a mattress. "

"The positives were that the staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfy. For us the downside was that it's close to the party area. The room had no window/ natural light and was bare. We didn't warm to the style although I'm sure others may find it quirky and different."

"My partner and I had an amazing stay at Kavil House. The rooms were very clean and big enough to feel comfortable. I did not have a cell phone and my airline lost my luggage. The staff was extremely helpful and diligent in personally reaching out to the airport to keep my updated on the status of my bag. The owners are so friendly. Located on a quiet, safe alleyway in the center of town. I would recommend this stay to anyone."

" We had to carry our suitcases upstairs , but you pay for what you get and the price was right.The location was great , easy walking distance in to the city.There is a really amazing restaurant right next door called the Cooking Love."

"The hotel was very spacious, close to the resort cafe and reception and within walking distance to the riverbed and sanctuary. It had good amenities with a large outdoor shower with shower gel/ shampoo and toilet paper. In the bed room there was bottled water and kettle for teas or coffees, homemade mosquito repellent and soap bar, there was also a hair dryer and a mosquito net which was an extra bonus. The resort offer free shuttle to the riverbed however we walked down and made our way...

"Awesome room. It's 2 bdr 2 bath! The views are awesome and the beds are comfortable. I would suggest adding a microwave. Otherwise, bring instant noodle snacks. "

Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort - A Vegan Retreat

"This was a wonderful place to stay! Good vegan food, security guards so you feel safe (not that Chiang Mai is dangerous), friendly staff, laundry service, spacious rooms with balconies, and great location! What more can you ask for?"

"I was traveling with my partner for his birthday and this was our second stay in Thailand. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. The property was very clean and the air conditioning worked very well, really important when it’s so hot outside. The surrounding area was right in the heart of everything. We walked to the temples, markets, restaurants and everything was basically at your front door. We would highly recommend this place and cannot wait to come back again soon! They made us feel so special and welcome. The restaurant makes delicious food and fruit smoothies are incredible and so refreshing. The pool is nice and small so it crowds quickly, but there is so much to do in the area you won’t even miss it. They surprised my fiancé with a cake for his birthday it was such a special place and we were lucky to stay here. It will hold a place in our hearts for sure! "
