"Stopping off in Devon for a few days break, we were very pleased with our stay at The Globe. While the property is very far from being an "all singing all dancing" modern hotel (no elevator for example); it has buckets of charm and is situated in an excellent location. "I booked at the last minute via Expedia and selected the breakfast option. Slightly cheaper than the "official" Greene King site. Fantastic greeting by staff - the checking in procedure was very slick. The room was clean (two single beds - I only needed one). Bathroom had recently been refurbished. "We stayed here one night, we will be back we loved it, lovely clean tidy room, homely, not kneen that dogs could stay in our room I'm very fussy! We had an evening meal the food was excellent a sunday roast very very homemade and very tasty, some nice pubs around the street to check out too."

"The business is no longer a going concern, no staff, fire risks, lack of lighting in public areas, on-line advertising is totally misleading (outdated). One has to feel for the poor Landlord trying in vain to keep going."
