"A fantastic stay. The property is very well appointed. The pool was a magic addition and great for all the kids. The weather was a bit hit and miss but the property itself was fantastic. We didn’t think we would use the tennis court but found we were on it every day. Highly recommended."

Reasonably happy with stay but there some things that need addressing.1) Upstairs Queen bed- the mattress springs gone on the right side and the mattress feels like you are sleeping on a slope. "This is a great little house. It’s exactly what it claims to be - basic old Bach right by the beach. What it lacks in modern conveniences it more than makes up for it in comfort and location. Great place to relax and enjoy beautiful Waikanae"

"What a great place. Small but had everything you needed. The view was wonderful wih a large comfortably furnished patio space. Unfortunatly we arrived very late and were only thyere for a day,wish we had more time to enjoy the place. "

"My partner and I stayed here as a little getaway for our 2 year anniversary, and we loved it! The space was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfy, and overall it was a great place to recharge and relax. The two dogs were a very friendly welcoming committee."

"Highly recommend this accommodation if you are seeking a private, secluded place to stay but within easy, short travel to the city (any of Wgtn, Lower Hutt or Porirua). The deck area is fantastic - a view of the forest, great couches and the hot tub. We will definitely book again."

We loved waking up and taking a few steps to the beach and it’s also very close to a four square and playground for the kids. Everything we needed and toasty warm in the middle of winter. "I liked the view. I didn't like anything else. I booked it at short notice for a two week stay and moved out after 3 nights. The back door only locked from the outside. There was only one other door - not good in an emergency. Two of us staying. 3 towels, 2 face cloths, 1 hand towel and 1 bathmat. I had to move my bed so I could shut my bedroom door. I had to ask for heaters to be supplied. There was no wifi. Lacking in any charm."

"This is an exceptional property set in a beautiful rural location with exquisite views over landscaped gardens. It is so peaceful that you feel as though you’re miles from anywhere when you’re actually only 2km (a lovely walk!) from the town boundary.
