"Pros : Great welcome from Jack. Shown to room 3 which was a double en-suite. Perfectly adequate for us. Nice clean bedding and a clean shower and wc. The room was tastefully decorated with quality furnishings. A small compact room with a well stocked tea tray. The weather was lovely so it was great to open the window fully for a nice breeze. "A really nice pub, restaurant and hotel. An excellent location in the middle of the village. Our room was a really nice size, well maintained, clean, comfortable and with excellent facilities. The food and service was of a very high standard with friendly and professional staff."

"It was a lovley old building and the floors & ceiling reflected the age of the place. The room was huge it had an open fire but we didnt use it had a stand alone bath but we never used. The shower was an electric standard model a bit of a dissappointment but it done the job. Overall a nice place. "

"Great location less than10 minutes from Durham, so the perfect base without the price tag of Durham hotels. The staff where friendly and welcoming. The cooked breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. We did not try the dinner options, but it's a lovely, friendly pub. Our room was a great size and the bed was comfy with a lovely feather duvet. Would definetly stay again. Alina & Steve"
