House is tastefully decorated with great spaces, wonderful light & a big garden/patio as well. We were glad to find a place that had plenty of room and appropriate beds for 8 adults. "We had a lovely stay with friends and went to Newbury Races which was a couple of stops on the train which is a 5/10 minute walk from the cottage The cottage was very nice 2bedrooms the smaller on is a bit small but fine for a few nights The kitchen is well equipped in fact the only down side was the shower which was very low pressure and the temperature kept changing so you had to jump in and out otherwise it was wonderful and we would use it again if staying in the area "

"My wife and I and another couple loved staying at Mallard Cottage. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size and the laundry with a clothes dryer was really appreciated. The living area enjoyed floor to ceiling glass looking out on a sunny, relaxing garden which sloped down to the fast flowing river. It was a short walk in to the centre of the city. Hosts, David and Deepti, were welcoming and very helpful. I highly recommend this cottage to others."

"The location was perfect for long walks. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. There is plenty of space and the upstairs room, which we didn’t use, is ideal for a small family to have their own space. Plenty of hot water and the hosts were incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend, especially for a family group. We didn’t take advantage of the go karts but I could see they’d be lots of fun for children."
