"We arrived earlier than our check in time, but this wasn't a problem, we had immediate access to our room. The room was on the small side, but as we didn't have full size suitcases it didn't matter. The 5* award is for being able to sit outside on a sunny evening, with a pint just looking at the stunning view, priceless. Dinner was good but a bit 'chips with everything'. "We spent a cold and wet weekend in the Peak District but, fortunately, the cottage had everything we needed and was lovely and warm after a cold walk.Lots of walks nearby and the walk from Bakewell to Chatsworth and back was lovely, despite the mud. Bakewell tart also a must. Would definitely stay at the cottage again.
