"Have to say we loved everything about our stay at Maasparel Nextdoor. The town of Arcen is lovely. Our room was clean, with great décor, comfortable beds and a awesome view of the river. The food for breakfast was delicious as well. By far the very best part of our stay was the friendly staff. Lisa and her team were warm, welcoming, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. We could not have been happier with our 2 night stay. "

"I did find the room, although clean, one of the most uncomfortable I have had. Pillow was horrible and the bedding not much better. Could really use a little modernisation but most of all, lose the pillows for better ones, horrible nights sleep."

"It was an overall great experience, very friendly staff, comfortable abd charming room, quite spacious, with everything in it to feel at home after a long travel; nice home-made dinner and a variety for breakfast. "Advertised as 4 star, but inside room evac.plan says 3 star . In reality a 3 star bar and restaurant and 2 star rooms. Rooms tired, i.e. walls dirty, wallpaper peeling, furnishings old, badly scratched, cobwebs, broken window fastening, mould in bathroom, shower eithef too hot or cold, toiletries (only soap dispenser) cheap. "Hotel room was sparse and utilitarian. It is not a room for comfort. The bed and pillow was very comfortable. Shower room large and good power. Mood lighting controlled by a remote control. Tea coffee facilities in room. No bathrobe provided although this is a spa facility. Towels in room can be used for spa but they are not bath sized. "Owner very friendly. I use a walking stick and the stairs were so steep and dangerous. I didn’t realise toilet was shared and would not have booked it if I realised it could be shared with 8 people. No shower, just a bath. Church next door and clanged every half hour through the night. At 7am it rang for ages. Breakfast very nice but dinner not brilliant. Had lamb chops, just 3 very not nice chops and not cheap. "

"parking is just a 4 minute walk around the corner. my room was very nice and a decent size considering the great price. there’s a restaurant and bar right inside the “lobby” where you check in, and there’s a lot of bars and restaurants near by to walk too. i would highly recommend this place especially for the price. "

"I traveled here back in 2023 and my stay at Haarhuis was quite lovely, albeit smaller rooms than I'm used to, but such is the European/Netherlands way (they all have smaller rooms.) I recently traveled back here (2024) for Qlimax (a music event) and since I had a great experience the last time, I figured I would book at Haarhuis again. Now, let me say that Haarhuis is a bit pricier, but that's to be expected as this carries itself as a luxury hotel and does a great job at such. The rooms are fantastic and well designed in an upscale luxury manner, the breakfast/restaurant is quaint and nice, the staff are beyond excellent, and the decor is just wonderful. What surprised me most is that I was BLOWN away with my recent room, which I did not think was possible. This time I arrived to get a room on the first floor (123) and was pleasantly surprised to see I not only had a roof deck with 2 pool lounge chairs, but I had a traditional SAUNA that could fit 2-4 people. It was a lovely surprise and worked excellent. Everytime I come here, they constantly out perform themselves. I can't say enough good things about Haarhuis, especially as it's a short walk across the street to Arnhem Centraal, so getting anywhere from the hotel is extremely easy. If you love sushi, Silk directly across the street is amazing as well, but just make sure you book reservation early on. Tot Ziens Haarhuis! See you next year!"

"Booked the hotel for a business trip. Had the worst night ever as since 4 in de morning the fire alarm kept going off every 20-60 minutes this lasted untill at least 8:00 this. After I check at the reception and the staff could not tell me when this would be fixed i decided to check out after one night instead of the planned 3. I understand unforeseen things like these can happen, but the fact that nobody of the hotel contacted me after my stay regarding any kind of compensation despite this being promised by staff , made me write this review. I had to make additional cost for a new stay , had to move different business meetings etc. overall this situation caused a lot of stress lack of sleep (what else you book a hotel for) and also had financially impacted my weekend. Poor customer service overall "

"Good clean hotel right next to the train station but don't let put you off the train station is one of the best in Netherlands Which is always clean and tidy just like the Mercure.Breakfast is very Good with hot bacon and eggs fruits and very good pastry,s it's in a very good location for the centre which can be walked in 5<>10 min The main bus stop is next to the train station making for easy access to the surrounding towns like Beek and Berg en Dal and Buinigen which are all worth a visit.Nice Hotel Friendly Staff .. Great Stuff "
