"This property was very unique and a great place to stay, especially after visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set earlier in the day. The rooms did smell a little like “Middle Earth” when we arrived, but the fans were running and the owners were obviously trying to deal with the problem which was much appreciated. "The location was perfect for what we needed to explore the area. Beds were comfy, soft but not too soft. Quiet, welcoming and charming very well kept ground with beautiful gardens. A feast for the eyes. Welcoming and gracious hostsWonderful and gracious hosts. "

"Emma’s property is spacious, tidy and very convenient for anyone staying in Kawhia. We liked the good kitchen, washing machine/dryer and 3 good sized bedrooms. "

"This home was good for a 2 night trip. We were in the area to see Hobbiton, glow worm caves, and do a hot air balloon. This was a central location for all three. The lake across the street was pleasant and enhanced the trip. Great for morning workout/walk. Around the corner was a workout station that got the job done. There were only 2 bathrooms and showers. The host was responsive and friendly. The courtyard was nice for reading. "

"Been to Kawhia a few times and stayed at the camp grounds. With parents wanting to join I wanted to find somewhere close and homey! Excellent central location, all the ammenities and relaxing atmosphere. Perfect for escaping the busy city life. "

"Thanks for an awesome long weekend - we explored a little bit of Cambridge & discovered how cool it was. The local shops, Saturday market & bike hires were all really easy. There’s a great Lake walk minutes away & amazing local Italian for dinner. Thanks for making it easy to enjoy. The fresh flowers in the rooms were a lovely, welcoming touch."

"It's a villa - so it has it's quirks. But that's the beauty of it and Tracey was always quick to answer our call whenever we discovered said quirks. The beds are divine and we had the best nights sleep. The facilities are great - everything you need when you're at a week long event at Lake Karapiro. "My family stayed here for two nights. This location is just around the corner from the caves, but is secluded. An excellent place to stay to avoid the crowds. The hostess responds fairly quickly to questions. I highly recommend going on the farm tour if you can - the tour is usually included for people staying at one of the hostess's properties, and includes the opportunity to meet sheep, cows, goats, alpacas, emus, and ostriches. "We were delighted to start our stay in NZ at Brooke and Charles’s place. Immediately, we were taken by the many birds singing and otherwise general quiet of the property. It is a working farm, so we enjoyed the chickens and cat wandering by. The patio offers a perfect seat for the sunset. The mornings offer views of fog settled in between the hills. The location is a short drive to Otorohanga and the Waitomo Caves area. Brooke was communicative and kind. "
