"I recently spent 3 nights at the Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan and loved it. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The whole experience from the room to the food and onsen gave me a really good insight in to Japanese culture. Property is very central, close to old town and restaurants. "The hotel is dated which needs refurbishment. But the amenities offered were good. The Japanese style room we stayed was spacious which can fit in 7 futons. We had half board during our stay. The food served were amazing and looked beautiful which was beyond our imagination. Though the property itself offers only smoking rooms, we as non-smokers didn't find it a problem at all. And parking is free. We would definitely recommend it."
