"It was very enjoyable staying at The Stables - such a special place! Also, a highlight for me was checking out the native plant nursery (Talisman) on the property and being overwhelmed by the many very rare native plants. And I enjoyed wandering through the tracks of the arboretum in such peaceful surroundings. It's my second visit to The Stables. Thanks once again Karen."

"25 Shortt Street might be old but it was a delightful place to unwind. It had everything we needed including modern appliances and warm comfortable beds. It is walking distance to the beach, the esplanade, a dairy, takeaways, and a short drive from other places to visit. We will be back!"

"This is a lovely property situated just north of the Ōtaki township. My partner and I enjoyed every second of it. The check in process was easy and Kim is lovely. Everything was spotless, and impeccably arranged. We had everything we needed, and though we were not far from the shops or the beach, we were perfectly secluded thanks to the impressive native bush surrounding us.I believe the photos do not do this gorgeous place justice! If you are considering a stay in Ōtaki, I strongly recommend this gem. We will be booking again soon."
