"The hotel is in an idyllic location very near the south coast of Tromoy island, with a pebbly beach and cafe within easy walking distance and a petrol station/shop and also supermarket within a mile or two. "As a museum professional I think it is amazing that such an old building can be put to modern use but with respect for the old building. However our room was cramped in relation to the prize we paid for it, and it was very hot. The least the hotel could do in a building where installing AC is impossible, is to provide fans. Also there naturally were no elevators, but the hotel could have provided porters, which would also have been historically correct. Our 5 course dinner was good, but one...

Booked a queen loft room but it was too small, had no wardrobe and no kettle.asked to move to a double room and it was sorted straight away no problem by kind helpful receptionist and was a much better room.
