"Top tier hotel with excellent service and so welcoming! We were welcomed by Alexandria Dar with pleasant smile and great attitude. She explained about the hotel and its amenities, services, the Atami area and made us feel at home. We loved the accommodations with the Onsen in room, awesome breakfast daily, great bar lounge, restaurants with an array of world foods and wonderful staff that made us feel so at home. We appreciated Mr. Toyo Ho who arranged and accompanied my wife and I to the Atami Hosptial(He paid the taxi fare and did not want to take our money) and assisted my wife to get medical help, filled out forms and stayed with us as the 2 physician took care of her. We will never forget the care he provided. Domo Arigato Mr Ho! You are so wonderful!!! We totally enjoyed our stay at the Pearl Star Hotel and will definitely be back. "This is the second time we have stayed here. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The indoor and outdoor onsen is incredible. The ocean views from the rooms are spectacular. Everyday there is a new sample treat to try. "

"Very spacious for a room of 2. Nice view from living room and bathroom. Onsan is a big bathroom which i expect it’s a natural hot spring. Buffet is great as breakfast. It will be great if can offer free tableware as there’s a kitchen inside the room . I asked the staff to give me a plate to reheat food but extra charges are required. "

"The ocean view room was very nice. The breakfast buffet had lots of options, and staffs were nice. The only problem was the location. The last shuttle bus from the train station left around 5, and there was no public transportation."

"The staff had zero inviting mode. No smile, no sign of happiness. The whole place felt like a routine operation, didn't feel any warmth. Pool was not usable. No other places nearby, so you are bound to have their pricey meal option. And that too, needs to be reserved and time bound. At night the whole place lit up with many LEDs though, kids of other guests ran around. Amenities were just OK. The rooms were clean, but many things are old and worn out in the room. Honestly, it felt like staying in a business hotel in city, not a relaxing resort type."
