"John and Carol are wonderful hosts. It really reminds me of going up for family vacations in the 80's and 90's. Very laid back and helpful if any questions or needs arise. Beautiful Lodge and grounds. Great access to boat slips and great boat launch. Our cabin (daybreak) was literally right over the water. Woke up to waves lapping every morning. Lots for the kids to do and fishing is bar none"

"This was the worst VRBO experience I have ever had. The day of my stay I had to message for directions to the cabin. Directions were not sufficient and I had no cell service. I ended up paddling to the cabin (to the “left of the dock” as I was told). It was raining and I couldn’t find the key that was supposed to be under the steps of the deck. "Very nice little guest cabin tucked in the woods. Option to rent the boat they have or not, which helped us out a lot for keeping our daily options open on where and when we wanted to fish. My only complaint is the pontoon died several times out in the water but good news is that it always restarted for us after a bit. I did have to jump in the water to avoid hitting one shoreline, but after it died that last time, we fished for awhile and didn’t turn it off again until we were back at the boat...

"It was wonderful to get away to the beautiful surroundings of Minnesota. Quiet, serene, tranquil. Mid-July was definitely a time for biting insects, but apply Off and enjoy the lake. We had everything we needed and more. It was nice to stay at a listing that took the extra step to provide things like trash bags, tp paper, and paper towels. Can't say enough positive things about the owner and communication. 10/10 for sure! Would definitely stay again if vacationing in that part of the US. "
