"We stayed in the Kauri chalet and really liked it. The view is great. The connecting room, Rata’s view is even better, but that room is much smaller. If you are a bigger group, booking these two rooms together will be perfect. We woke up to the birdsongs and had a peaceful breakfast on the balcony. The stairs bring the charm to the place and we did not mind the extra steps. Owner/staff are very friendly. PAKnSAVE is only 6 minutes drive away."

"Property is an ideal location away from the main activity on the Island but close enough to enjoy everything the island has to offer. Great place, wonderful views, quiet and peaceful with all the amenities. The advantage of having a car in with the property is significant enabling you to get out and about without relying on taxis or buses - gives you the freedom to enjoy the island."

"The house looked and felt just as the pictures do. It worked well for our family of six. Our four children slept in the loft while my husband and I slept in the little separate bedroom at the top of the property. We were a little concerned on how that would go, but everyone was comfortable and happy with the arrangement.The house was a short drive to everything that Waiheke has to offer! Great stay!"

"The cottage was lovely and peaceful and in a great location on the island. It is a very old structure and with that it has its quirks. I do think some additional information on the mechanics of house itself would have been helpful for us and good for future renters, specifically on the use of water of conserving water if needed.
