"My wife and I spent two nights with Andy & Pip at the lodge at the start of our New Zealand vacation. They were great hosts, picked us up at the ferry dock, helped guide us with local transportation options (take advantage of the bus system to the local wineries) and Pip provided a wonderful breakfast that was a highlight of our visit. "A very lovely welcome from host from Anna-Marie to Chartre Cottage. The weather was dull, but the view from the cottage was excellent as your stay was on a hill overlooking the town of Thames and the bay. Cottage was lovely, fresh, warm, well stocked with equipment for a meal in and plenty of supplies for breakfast - Thankyou. Well recommended for a stay."

"Location great, cleanliness great, provisions great, access great, nothing about the property could be faulted. Property owner was well prepared and friendly when we arrived, communication before arrival was excellent. The only (very very minor) request for improvement would be a light on the sign on the road, we returned at night and struggled to locate the entrance confidently in the dark. Noting this did not detract from the stay in the slightest."
