"A great little cottage with plenty of amenities, however disappointed to only have 2 wine glasses and 4 mugs for a group of 6 ladies, who all love wine and all love tea, which made it very challenging and annoying. Would recommend for anybody looking to venture to sherwood forest area, as very close to sherwood forest visitor centre. a great Italian restaurant in the village too, 100 yards from the cottage, which was lovely. all in all a great cottage and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again."

"It is a tiny, but wonderful, cottage. It is so homely and ‘liveable’ and the owner, Katie, has obviously tried to provide everything you might need to enjoy a comfortable stay. "We had a really nice little break as a family, but there were a few things that were a little disappointing given the fact the house appeared on paper to be high end. We arrived with excited kids to find the hot tub was not switched on, so this took 24 hours to heat. A real shame when you only have a short break. There were no complimentary logs for the log burner as promised, and only one bin liner for the bins. So first thing to do was a shop! There were caddies for tea, coffee, sugar, salt...

Adding to that, the hosts add lots of thoughtful touches like leaving some milk, snacks, board games and numerous brochures and guides for local attractions. Some other reviewers have mentioned the busy road; don’t let that put you off, be assured the property is not on the busy A road, but is on a local road which does get light traffic, but it is not at all bothersome: you won’t hear it from inside the house.
