"Perfect house for get together with large bedrooms 5 of which are en-suite and many with single beds which makes for great flexibility depending on the make up of your group. Large group spaces in kitchen and living room with a great conservatory too. Also on direct bus route to Derby and area. Everything a large group could want. Owners live next door and we’re very welcoming and helpful."

"A great little cottage with plenty of amenities, however disappointed to only have 2 wine glasses and 4 mugs for a group of 6 ladies, who all love wine and all love tea, which made it very challenging and annoying. Would recommend for anybody looking to venture to sherwood forest area, as very close to sherwood forest visitor centre. a great Italian restaurant in the village too, 100 yards from the cottage, which was lovely. all in all a great cottage and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again."

"This is the forth time we have stayed here and it is still perfect for our needs. It does cold at night in winter and it was very cold outside for our stay. It is lovely and warm downstairs, however the large bedroom needs more blankets on the bad which had been provided. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return. "

Close to plenty of days out suitable for kids, went to Yorkshire wildlife park which we would highly recommend too. "It is a tiny, but wonderful, cottage. It is so homely and ‘liveable’ and the owner, Katie, has obviously tried to provide everything you might need to enjoy a comfortable stay. Even the beds are comfy! It is beautifully clean and well presented; my adult daughter said she would like to live there herself. The main street with a Co-op store, a good selection of eateries and a friendly pub is just a short walk from the door, with the Sherwood Forest craft and visitor centres just a couple of...

"We had a really nice little break as a family, but there were a few things that were a little disappointing given the fact the house appeared on paper to be high end. We arrived with excited kids to find the hot tub was not switched on, so this took 24 hours to heat. A real shame when you only have a short break. There were no complimentary logs for the log burner as promised, and only one bin liner for the bins. So first thing to do was a shop! There were caddies for tea, coffee, sugar, salt...
