"The cottage was absolutely lovely, full of character and charm, lots of antiques and everything you could possibly need. The location is nice and quiet and there is so much to do nearby."

"Overall good with one caveat and a slight disappointment. The house was very comfortable to live in for a week, very well equipped, lovely lounge, comfortable kitchen, conservatory and outside space for all the family. The one issue for us were the quality of the mattresses. The upstairs main bedroom was way too soft,and the downstairs front bed also too soft. The other issue, not to do with the property was there was a warning on the beach not to go into the water because of poor water...

"This house was great for what we needed (group of girlfriends getting together). We loved the sunroom on the first floor and even got to sit outside in the gorgeous garden. The location is perfect and there is heaps of space. My only comment is that the bathrooms probably need a bit of updating, but apart from that would definitely recommend."

"We booked Mary's wonderful house for a weekend away in December for a catch up with old friends (12 of us in total). We had an amazing time and really recommend the house. It has lots of character from being an old pub called The Star and the rooms were really comfy with almost all of them having their own ensuite bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious for cooking even for 12 people and we loved the fireplace and piano in the main living room. We didn't get out much due to storms...

"We stayed 3 nights at Zanzibar, for our lab retreat - 16 (neuro)scientists from London who were looking for a nice place to hang out, cook, drink, bind and talk science. Zanzibar did not disappoint! it's an amazing place to chill and have fun. Kitchen is fully equipped, rooms are set tastefully and beautifully, the common area has plenty of space to cozy up in big or small groups, and hot tup was a bonus. Location is great too -- short walk to the train station, a pleasant walk to hiking paths...

"The property was nice and clean and as advertised. What made the experience very special for my wife and I was the interaction with the property owner Nick and his partner as well as his family. They were kind enough to arrange for us to have a chef cook for us all three nights of our stay which was wonderful. We walked into town each day and one of the days it was raining pretty good and Nick was kind enough to drive into town and pick us up and give us a ride home. It was excellent and truly...
