The hotel was walking distance from the shops and attractions. We slept very comfortably and conveniently parked at the hotel. "Great hotel. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Impressive period building with new additions. Our room looked out onto the road but never noticed any noise at night. We did a one day course in the cookery school which was excellent, would highly recommend. Great location for exploring York. Parking at the station long stay car park is a much cheaper option than the nearer NCP (only £15 for a long weekend). Nice spa and pretty quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Really good breakfast."
