"We had a very brief stay and it was clean, comfortable and as described on the website. Very happy. About 8-10 min walk from train station, beautiful walk over the footbridge. Only issue is lack of restaurants after 19:00 and we never received our code to check in to the room-luckily staff was onsite to quickly assist!"

"The property was very clean, compared to other hotels that we’ve rented in Japan. I thought this was a little bit pricey. They also do not have any dining on the property. You must go off to find something to eat. They have a coffee shop, but it does not open until 10 AM in the morning 11 AM check out time "

"The up side is that the property is a lovely, cozy apartment that is equipped with everything that one would need to be comfortably self-sufficient. The down side is that one must be self-suffient. "The fully contained apartment was a pleasure to stay in. It was private, comfortable and uniquely Japanese.for a split level space. There were plenty of futon beds and the kitchen had all that we needed. The attic bedroom was comfortable but does not have standing room. Thank you for a unique Japanese stay."

"Amazing hotel and wonderful hospitality. We felt right at home. Kaiseki dinner and breakfast was delicious too. We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re back in Hakone. We booked a room with a private onsen and enjoyed it. "

"Amazing stay at Hanaori! We stayed at the Deluxe Room with private open-air bath. Staff were wonderful, there's welcome-drink at the reception. The view was amazing; you can see the lake from the lobby & dining area. There's foot-onsen also overlooking the lake. Dining is all buffet, but it's the same every night / every morning. Public bath was also great (both indoor and outdoor). Absolutely no tattoos allowed in the public bath. Walking distance to Hakone ropeway to get the black-eggs. "
