"Dated but quaint. The property was under serious renovation when we stayed, so I imagine updates are coming. But it’s a nice change from regular hotels. Right in town, by the water, and close to the college. Even a one night stay stop-over feels like a treat. You feel the ambience most in the warmer weather. Winter is brutal anywhere. "

"My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Scottish Inn for our Christmas holiday. The rooms were very nice and clean. The attendant of the Inn was very friendly. The location was perfect. Walmart was just a block or two away as well as gas stations, little cafes, etc. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our holiday. I highly recommend the Scottish Inn if you're ever in Potsdam and need a place to stay."

"They are very friendly and good service. However the hotel needs updating.. one elevator was broken for weeks. All carpets need to be removed …old. Tiles missing on elevater. Rooms need touch up. Great views ! Good food and service. "
