"Overall excellent two night stay. Check in was quick and easy with a pleasant welcome. Room was spacious with huge 7ft bed and great facilities including a nespresso coffee machine. Even though the room overlooked the main road it wasn't an issue at all with hardly any traffic through the night. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and had breakfast both mornings and food, drink and service were all excellent, plus the restaurant itself is a lovely environmemt. "The room, large and clean with comfortable bed, nice clean bathroom. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was good, breakfast cooked to order and lots of choice. The location of the Hotel is great for Shaftesbury town, a 12 minute walk takes you to the centre. We really liked it. We didn’t use the pool but it looks nice, although it seemed to be constantly used by locals mainly. Overall very happy "

"Stayed in room no1 and although I knew the bed was on another level I had not realised it was on another floor. With corkscrew stairs to get there. Not ones to use if you were drunk. I would recommend leaving your case down stairs as there is a wardrobe there and awkward carrying a case up those stairs. Loved the room though. "

"Great location, right in the town centre. Good sized room and the bed was comfortable. Pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and good portion size. My only critique would be there is no mirror at the vanity desk and the one in the bathroom was not in the light. "

Great stay for the price paid.

"Staff and the service received was excellent. Here for one night before a cruise. Is no frills but all I needed was a shower and a bed. Very close to Horizon and City cruise terminal (I walked it in 8 minutes to Horizon) and a 7 minutes walk from the railway station and bus station. Also close to all shopping and restaurants. "

Excellent and relaxing stay!

"Staff were attentive without being intrusive. The bed was extremely comfortable. The spa was very nice and the therapist was very competent. The standard of breakfast was very high, but the highlight was the evening meal which was worthy of a Michelin star."
