"We booked this for a wedding about 6 miles away. It was easy to access with a taxi late at night. We let them know if advance that we would be arriving around 10:30-11pm and they said no problem, a key would be in the bar area as bar was opened until 11:30. We arrived and the manager brought us to our room, which was lovely and clean, and we then went to have a drink at the bar and chatted with the staff until closing. Great sleep in a comfortable bed, great breakfast in the dining area. ...

"Spent the night here with my partner it was amazing. Nigel and Robina the owners were very friendly and welcoming they took an imterest in us as their guests. They showed us to our room and were always around. Breakfast was a full english and was 10/10. The room was cute spacious with a lovely bathroom. The estate itself is large but is in good condition. "Lovely place,slightly disappointed to have been asked to remove my shoes before going up to my room( I have bad arthritis) secondly difficult getting in and out of the bed due to low beams either side of bed. I can’t judge on any other room. I studied the reviews before my stay stay, and people clearly love this beautiful home."

"I was really pleased with the accommodation, and found it really nice. I was dropped off, so did not require the parking which was directly outside and free. The room was comfortable, breakfast bits provided and the shower facilities although not ensuite were at hand and served me well. I would stay again."

"I’m certain, on the Trivago web site, it said Breakfast included. However I was asked £12.50 for breakfast which was very limited in choice. I could have stayed at the Old Thorns hotel with breakfast and a pool and spa for less!"

"Pretty good all round - clean, nicely appointed and comfortable but with one major flaw. The boiler works away all night and with a late night and then an early rise the next day was a little disappointing and made sleeping soundly very difficult. 9/10 with the exception of the boiler noise "

"The security was very rude and intimidatory. They Would not allow me into the property without my key card. I explained that my friend has the key card and went back to the room early. I was the lead guest in the booking. I had email confirmation, my ID and the card I used to pay. Hotel security still refused me entry. I had to call the reception desk to get approval access. This was 4am. Prior to this rude hiccup I enjoyed my stay. After this incident it put a dampen on the rest of the trip."

"I loved that the Village Hotel has many convenient high- quality amenities, including a fully-equipped gym, pub, pool, sauna, workspace, in addition to a comfortable room.
