"Honestly when I read the reviews about this place after my husband booked, I was very sceptical. People said it was dirty, had cockroaches, no hot water. None of this was true. About the hot water, you must realize that water heaters in Europe are half the size of North American ones. We had plenty of hot water. "Our stay in Lagos was great! The amenities provided at the apartment suited the needs of our vacation and the location was perfect. It was very close to the marina where many of our excursions departed and just a short walk across the bridge from the downtown area. "We had a very relaxing 11 day stay. The apartment was exactly how it was advertised, with the beautiful sunset being spectacular every evening. Full use of the beautiful swimming pool, and the hosts Fred and Felicitas were very friendly and helpful but were not at all intrusive. A car is definitely required but it does not take long to get to the lovely beaches and restaurants around. Thank you both for a wonderful stay at your lively home."

"The property was very clean! The balcony was an added plus. The kitchen had pretty much everything you needed. There were manuals to help you operate the appliances. It was close enough to walk to shopping and dining. The owner communicated quickly and often. I would suggest getting new pillows for the bed! Also, make sure the place is stocked with ample toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc. "

"The apartment is spacious, conveniently located, and offers a spectacular ocean view from the large balcony. Communication with the host was also excellent. These factors alone could sell the rental, but the place feels tired (both the unit itself and the building), and we experienced a few shortcomings that diminished our enjoyment of the rental, all of which could be easily improved. It's an older place and comes with some issues that the owners promptly attended to. We drove to the Algarves and the apt included an underground parking spot!
