"Great place to stay "

"This is a super cute property and the rate was very reasonable. Looking through their guidebook I could see that their ownership or management company is offering a great product and I am sure all their properties are fun and adorable. The property itself was great. The only reason we haven’t booked here again, in our subsequent trips to Ocean Shores, is that the communication was not good with the initial contact when we booked our room. We book via Expedia often and have never run into quite this situation, but after paying when we were on our way to the town but a few hours away still, they called me and said that they needed a deposit because my card was a “pay card” and not a traditional credit card. I didn’t have the money for the deposit and it wasn’t mentioned on Expedia when I booked. I was offended during the exchange when the person said “I bet you don’t even work for that company you are just a contractor” and I asked him to cancel but he said he couldn’t because they had already collected the money and he ended up accepting a lesser deposit and we ended up coming anyway. I understand they are concerned about protecting their investment, but he made what should have been a fun little romantic getaway on the cheap into a stressful trip because he wouldn’t cancel the reservation and he took all the money I had set aside for food in the deposit and sucked all the fun out of it. Such a shame bc it’s a really cute place. "

"I love the location and I think this place could be really great if the company put a little money into upkeep and updates. Very run down once in person and they haven’t had a restaurant or bar since 2019. The room was comfy but we bought a top floor suite and when we went out on the balcony the chairs were covered in green moss and moldy slimy stuff. You would think they would have made sure the stuff was clean before guests got there. "
