"The hotel is dated but nice. I prefer the mountain view rooms as they have been updated recently. The beds are quite hard so the tatami mats are the better option. "I wholeheartedly recommend this onsen to anyone visiting morioka, even if for a couple of nights only. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and the service was the best we had experienced before in any hotel or onsen. "They seem to be short staffed though it’s probably the norm for hotels like these but still very satisfied with my stay here. The room was very large especially for Japan and the staff was friendly and accommodating. It’s a bit of a walk to the station but doable. Try staying on the main road to the hotel. We took a back road after stopping at a convenient store and had to walk on a road with no sidewalk with our luggage. "
