"The area surrounding the hotel has a lot of construction going on (it seems that is everywhere is Austin) but the hotel abuts Rainey St which has an abundance of great restaurants and bars with live entertainment. We also took a quick walk to Cenote for breakfast, a must go! It’s also a 5 minute walk to a trail abutting Lake Lady Bird, part of the Colorado River, where you can rent kayaks and paddle boards.
