The Love Shack-- The BEST Couples and Small Family Retreat at Deep Creek Lake!

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (285)
"We stayed at the Love Shack for a few days between Christmas and New Years. The cabin was cozy and met all of our needs. We enjoyed the hot tub one evening of our stay and loved the fireplace over the chilly nights. Our teen daughter had a great time reading, writing, and hanging out in the loft. The property location was in close proximity to area attractions. We did find the small neighborhood and lack of side walks a little challenging with our dog, but nothing we could not work around....

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Magnolia is a beautiful well furnished home. We were lucky enough to have gotten lots of snow during our stay. It was so beautiful!! I would suggest additional heating on/in the main level bedrooms. There was a dramatic difference in that part of the house. Lots of "It's freezing back here" comments. space heaters would have been most welcome! We kept the thermostat at 70 lest the upstairs get too warm. I did report that there was leaking in the upstairs...

"The Gathering Place was such a great property with suberb hosts. I was most impressed with communication from the owners and the tips and details they provided before our arrival. It helped so much with planning. We arrived to a help basket with some favorite treats like popcorn and hot cocoa which was a plesant surprise. The properyy is homey and modern. I was impressed with the size of the.bunk beds and all the beds. There were plenty of blankets and cookware. Pretty much had everything we...

Dog-friendly house on the lake, central AC, & EV charger

8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (50)
"The inside of the house was very clean and very tastefully decorated. The view was out of this world! The one thing that we would like to note, is that prior guests left large dog poop on the balcony that was not cleaned up by the staff. In addition, there was a bag of dog poop left in front of the home. Everything else was excellent and we still appreciate it being dog-friendly."

"First, the stay was too short! Deep Creek, any time of year is incredible. Boat/Ski/Swim in the summer, ski/skate/sled in the winter, not to mention the great surroundings. The Tiny House is perfect for someone to get away. Jeff and the fam go the extra mile to make things super nice. To the luxurious Nespresso coffee, and snacks, to spring water and a hot tub to warm the heart and melt the cares away. House is not that tiny, actually. It is very comfy for a couple. Super clean and well...
