"What an amazing find. We can’t recommend Beachborough Park enough. From our first contact with Rob it could not have been better. He was so helpful and accommodating. When we arrived the welcome was warm and friendly. We were leaving early the next morning and would miss breakfast however there was already a paper bag with a continental breakfast ready and waiting for us in the room, including a cafetière ready for use. "Disappointing stay (Joss room) which was a shame as location was perfect for me. Shower was broken, was offered communal shower but on close inspection I decided not to use. Blind in room doesn’t close properly, lots of light coming in, very noisy fountain out front which you can still hear with windows closed. Very poor Wi-Fi. Pub itself was lovely, staff friendly, no food on Mondays though."

"What a lovely little Gem of a place, with lovely quirky rooms, and a really nice coffee machine and biscuits in the room, the breakfast was wonderful, freshly cooked with good quality ingredients. The cafe/cocktail bar down stairs was really lovely and relaxing with yummy cakes, and great cocktails in the evening, had a lovely stay here and would definitely recommend as very convenient for shops and seaside."

"The property, the room, the breakfast and the owner were all fantastic. The only downside was the Wi-Fi which at barely 0.4 mbs was unusable. "

"We had a 2 night stay in the Four Poster Room. The room was lovely and spacious with the bathroom upstairs. All the staff we came across were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were given the option to put any food and drink purchased at the bar and restaurant and pay for everything at the end of our stay. We will definitely stay again."

"Actually, I was sick the entire time I was there, not the fault of the Black Horse. However, the parking situation is terrible. While sick, I had to move the car several times. I found my rental car was side-swiped, and I'm having to pay for damages my insurance doesn't cover. Again, not the fault of the Black Horse."

"Just right for my needs. Good location for access to town plus free parking. Unfortunately I did have noisy people in adjoining rooms who played loud music and the room the other side had tv on loud but that’s the lack of concern for others that’s all too common now and not the fault of the guest house. Breakfast was good and staff polite and helpful."

"Lovely stay, very convenient to the train station, cliffs walk and castle. Kitchen and laundry facilities available for use which was nice. Only downside was the sink in our room did not drain well so we didn’t really get to use it properly. "

"We had a very enjoyable stay. Our room was clean with comfy beds and a good shower. The breakfast was included in the stay. There was a variety of options including waffles, fruit, cereal and traditional cooked breakfast choices. The staff were helpful and friendly. Overall fantastic value. "

"Have stated many times before and will in the future. It is as expected, clean and comfortable, friendly helpful staff. It is a nice hotel with a pub that serves great food, although it could do with a bit of refurbishment as is getting a little tired round the edges. I always recommend it to anyone coming to the area."

"This is an exceptionally good hotel, all the usual facilties, good free wifi, comfortable bed, good shower, excellent dining room and breakfasts with good choice of breakfast. Good restaurant within the hotel with reasonably priced meals. Staff very helpfull. The only downside was no mirror in the bathroom so had to use own small mirror to shave by."

Great location lovely staff

"This is the second time we have stayed but the first time we had breakfast the food was lovely only we would of preferred it if the tea and coffee were served to the table as we were backwards and forwards to the buffet I know this is a very small issue and slightly petty but it would of been nice staff fabulous will definitely stay again hotel spotless and we had a lovely big room we will return and use the spa thank you "
