"We really loved our stay at Amrath Hotel in Alkmaar! Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet, and the area was wonderful. There's a nice park right across the canal that flows in front of the hotel, and the central town area is an easy walk. There we found great restaurants, a picturesque town, all the shopping a person could want, church bells that rang and played beautiful music, and lots of friendly people with their dogs. "heb afgesproken met vrienden voor eten en drinken in Alkmaar en woon zelf ver weg. Dus 1 nacht verbleven. Dat is prima gegaan. Leuk is dat je nog duidelijk sporen ziet van de vorige bestemming van het gebouw. (Gevangenis) Alkmaar is trouwens ook wel een mooie stad om te bezoeken met traditionele panden en grachtjes."
