"We were all very impressed with the place, for a huge property it was exceptionally clean everywhere and filled with everything you need. Bigger with some older style rooms, it gave a great feel for hide and seek. It provided a good base for all of us to hang out together whilst giving some space, great for games and a couple walks in the area. We really enjoyed our cold pond dips followed by warming up in the hot tub. This was already warmed up for us on arrival and lots of wood and starters...

"the property is as the Vrbo description The beds were so comfortable. just to make people aware the property is not fully enclosed as if you have inquisitive dogs as mine are they can get into the wood at the side of the garden over a muddy stream then onto a road and leading to fields with livestock in. The garden is a wonderful size for doge to run around in and the outside hose is a great edition to wash down your pets as we had to do on many occasions. We were visited by a deer one morning...

"The owners were friendly, and attentive, but the property I felt was too expensive for what it was, there was no shower gel or anything in the bathrooms. There wasn’t a bin bin bag to collect rubbish. There were cobwebs and number of Rooms the black leather sofa was old and worn out and not very comfortable so although the setting was nice it did look like somewhere that the owners were trying to get out of as they told us there were selling up. "11 of us / 3 generations descended on Axbridge to celebrate my mother’s 90th. What a super weekend! Culminating in a wonderful dinner in the formal dining room which was spectacular. We like to cook - and the Kitchen is large and well equipped for big parties. A lovely setting in a lovely village / area. The host was charming and very accommodating. "
