"Had an excellent 4 night stay here. Many national trust and heritage sites were a short drive away. Breakfast was lovely and very well organised every morning. Full English breakfast was delicious and served very quickly. We had a meal at the restaurant one evening and the burgers were really tasty too. The staff are all friendly and service is efficient. Considering the place is next to the A1 it wasn't that busy on the road and we couldn't hear the road noise from our room even with the window open which was great. Lovely view over the countryside at the back too. Beds were really comfy and the room was pleasant with lots of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Only things to note was the shower water pressure was quite low and the door was a bit tricky to lock but otherwise it was a brilliant place to stay and would highly recommend- I would definitely stay again!"

"We had clear instructions round on how to find the parking. Very accommodating with the dog, even asked if we would need letting out in the night to take the dog out! Food in the bar was amazing & the portion size was very generous & a great price! Bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in away from home & the bed was huge! Would definitely recommend this hotel to stay in & to grab food locally! "

"Property within walking distance of the castle and beach. The owner,Mark was very obliging and helpful,nothing was too much trouble,always greeted with a smile. Breakfast was excellent! Room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Highly recommend!"
