"Slightly complicated check in process with nobody on site and having to call a mobile number. However, once I was in everything was very clear. My room was up 2 very steep sets of stairs. It was compact but clean, with a small ensuite. The shower pressure was very weak unfortunately, but otherwise the room was excellent value for money. "The staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived. She helped us with a dinner reservation and advised us on some things to do in York. The hotel was an easy walk to the York city wall and the train station. The room was lovely. Do book the delicious breakfast. It is plentiful and will get you ready for a day of exploring!"

Couple of gripes relating to weak pressure on shower and wooden bed posts which were difficult to avoid knocking one’s leg on initially. Otherwise immaculate setup with beautiful gardens and setting. "The studio room we stayed in was lovely and cosy. Everything felt very high-end from the decor to the coffee machine. There wasn’t one thing I’d change. The free parking at the back of the building was an added bonus too. It was the perfect base to explore Harrogate Centre, 5 minute walk and you’re in the centre. Totally recommend this place and very reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. "

"We were allowed to park our car up due to arriving early. the room was warm & the shower was hot and powerful. we stayed in rm4 (king size four poster bed) there was a mini fridge with complimentary two cans of coke & water ( nice touch)All lights were electric, lots of power points, the blinds to the windows were electric. they even provided a iron & board !! there was a safe as well.
