"I booked based on the great reviews but wasn't as impressed as I could be. I switched to another hotel for the next day and am much happier. I had a private room and once you are paying double you can get something nicer and way bigger in the area. I had to leave mainly because the wifi was too slow to make calls or work. The shower I used was only trickling and could barely rinse off if using warm water. The windows room was nearly useless and the fan in it constantly ran and was noisy. ...

"The feeling is like staying in a very old hut without modern days aircon/hot shower/tv. So I just hang out at the common area which is pretty hot during the day but is much better than staying in the small and stuffy room."

"tomo and his wife are very helpful,can communicate in english with tomo easily. i stayed in the cheaper room out the back,there are nicer ones out the front . 10 minutes walk to borobudur and some nice walks out in the rice fields"

"The dorm room was very clean! That’s really nice to find when you need an affordable hotel while exploring Yogyakarta. The Hotel area is nearby to main attractions like Malioboro, Pasar Beringharjo, Keraton which was really nice and convenient for tourist like me. The staffs are very attentive as well. Lovely accommodations will come back!"

"Unhygienic and dirty. The bathroom had wet yellow urine spilled on toilet and the previous occupants toiletries were still there. The bed had so many stains and when we removed the blanket there was mud and dirt inside. They did not clean the sheets after the previous occupants. The room had small bugs crawling and we can’t step foot outside in the patio either. We spent the night in disgust as there were no place to go at that time of the hour. "They made a few mistakes in the beginning with my room but they made up for them with extra excelent service, shout out to Mr Yanto and mba Belinda at Kayu Manis restaurant and all the staff at the restaurant for treating me and my Mom with smile, kindness and professionalism. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family. Keep the good work 🙏"

Pleasant oasis in a busy city

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, especially the pool area. The breakfast buffet was very good with fresh fruit, and egg station and plenty of Asian food options. There are 3 restaurants to choose from, Chinese, Italian and the main restaurant. Dinners were a little below expectations m, we did enjoy the Chinese restaurant but the pizza in the Italian restaurant was quite good. I ordered the chicken breast in the main and was served a chicken leg that was definitely reheated. The hotel is an older hotel but the room was well maintained and comfortable. We slept well. The pool was the main reason we chose the hotel and it was great to cool down after a long day of sightseeing. Towels are provided and you can order drinks and snacks poolside. Some of the planting is a bit sparse and could use a refresh but overall it is a pleasant place to relax. There is an onsite tour office that can organize your airport transportation and sightseeing, but be prepared to pay a premium. We used grab to get around and found it efficient and very reasonably priced."

"Nice and modern room that is also super spacey. The breakfast selection is great and the club menus are decent too. Staff are very helpful. 10 seconds sheltered walk to the big mall with plenty of f&b options. But the traffic around the hotel is often quite congested "
