"On arrival the house was spotless and welcoming. Our first night was very enjoyable with a large family dinner, cooked to perfection thanks to the cooking facilities and large selection of cooking equipment available. Unfortunately, on our second day, one of the bedroom en-suite toilets blocked and stated to overflow. We immediately contacted the agency mobile numbers and left the appropriate voicemail describing our emergency. Eventually we had a call back. We explained the situation and we were told that a plumber would be called to attend. We carried on with our holiday and visited a local pub for lunch. During lunch we received a call to advise us that the plumber had attended and the toilet was now clear but the shower was not working. We returned back to the house to discover the shower full of excrement and the whole house smelling of “you know what”…To make matters worse the toilet had overflowed downstairs all over the library table bookcases & bookshelves. The kitchen table, where we had enjoyed the previous nights family dinner was covered in books from the library that had been covered in excrement. Another emergency call to the agents who, when she arrived could not believe that their plumber had left the house in such a state. The management of the house immediately offered to move us out to another house not very far away. All the family members had to pack up all their possessions and transfer to this other house. Thanks to Emma for your helping us move house."

"This hpuse is beautiful.and we had a lovely weekend. However there are a few things that need addressing. I picked this house as pet friendly for my 1 yr old dog but 2 days prior to arriving the info for check in arrived and says dogs arent allowed in bedrooms or on the furniture - our dog sleeps in our room so this was instantly an issue so we ended up sleeping on the sofas. There wasnt a stair gate to stop the dog going downstairs so we had to inprovise. The garden is not dog secure and she escaped twice. During one escape the dangerous front door mat became an issue - it caused me to trip and fall and I ended up banging my head so badly i ended up with concussion, whiplash and had to have a CT scan of my head. Sad that a few minor things affected our stay. The Pet friendly needs addressing as restricted pet access."

"Great stay at the Castle Inn. Big family room with kids in a separate area which was a pleasant surprise 😀. Delicious breakfast and Sunday lunch the following day with a big range of allergies catered for. Thoroughly recommend. Thanks "

"Manor House was fantastic and set up for all our needs. We had a wonderful stay in Newport. The house is close to all the local amenities, some lovely cafes, pubs and shops and about a 10 minute walk to the beach."
