"It was a really nice place to stay. It needs some work, but all old buildings do. I would suggest a decent sized shelf between the sinks in the junior suite and a tv in the living room area instead of or in addition to the bedroom. We would have preferred to watch tv there together. Again, it is a beautiful place and there is lots to look at while you are there. A very nice restaurant within walking distance, Lorenzo's, and a walking trail just down the road a bit for after you eat. "

I noticed that the staff, while attentive if you needed them to be, were a bit gossip-y with one another, and one seemed to be working on resolving an issue with a pet adoption during their work hours which I found to be unprofessional and irritating to have to overhear while eating in the dining room. "Hotel staff was great. They gave us sleds to use on the hills next to the hotel. Hotel could use some updates but it was clean. The breakfast was great but the staff that took care of replenishing the breakfast and keeping things clean went above and beyond. He was up wiping tables constantly and making sure everything was clean and organized at the buffet, he even offered to make my son a special breakfast the following day but we were leaving. Very impressed! "

"This is a beautiful, spacious house with beautiful views. We stayed here in October when all the foliage was at its peak. The host was so nice and so easy to communicate with.
