We returned due to his amazing this hotel is for families, all the staff are amazing with kids and there is so much to do - not just for kids but family activities and adult classes and fun entertainment sessions too. The beach is beautiful and not too busy if you move along a bit, and there is a nice nature park to take a walk in. Alcudia old town is worth a visit so...

"The staff were nice. Location was good and within walking distance to the street market, restaraunts, beach and tour pickups. Lots of options for the in house buffets and we had some fun entertainment each night. Small issue with showers slow to drain. Bigger issue was the beds, like sleeping on a park bench and had to use the extra comforters to provide a bit of cushion. That said, my mom loved her bed."

"Good, but not perfect. Hotel itself is nice, not 'a million rooms crammed into a tiny complex' which you'll see on the island. We stayed All Inclusive for a week and left 3rd of November, hotel was beginning to wind down for the season as we were leaving, it got very very busy from 31st October as they must have had a special Spanish Resident deal on, for Halloween. "The hotel was friendly and clean, the staff were helpful. The room was well aid out and spacious this particular room did not have a proper shower tray with a door or a towel rail which would have been better. The balcony view of this room was to the rear of the hotel no pleasant gardens or anything just views out over residential properties and the car park which can be a little noisy at times with cars and dogs barking etc. "

"We loved our stay at Vell Marí and would definitely go back again. It’s an easy drive from the airport. We didn’t bother paying extra for dedicated parking and we never had trouble getting parked on the streets outside the hotel. It’s right opposite Lidl which is handy if you don’t want to take toiletries in your suitcase. The staff were lovely and the food was good and varied every day although there were also consistent options like pizza and pasta so always something for my picky eater 7 year old. The hotel was clean and quiet. Rooms are soundproof so although we could just about hear the entertainment in the evenings it wasn’t loud enough that it kept my son awake and it also didn’t go on too late. Only negatives are that I would have liked a kettle in our room as I like a coffee when I wake up. We had a microwave so I would microwave water for coffee but a kettle would have been nice. Also the air con didn’t get super cold. It was noticeable during the day but at night it felt like it wasn’t really doing much so even though we had it on the coldest setting that still felt like maybe 22-23oC which is warmer than we are used to sleeping in at night. But really those negatives are so minor, it really is a super little hotel and I have recommended it to anyone who asked me about our holiday. Thank you Vell Marí :)"

"This was a perfect property for my boyfriend and I. We were able to enjoy the beach (30 second walk) with everything in walking distance including Aldi for groceries and many restaurants and mini supermarkets and gift shops on the surrounding streets. The staff were very lovely and often put out the leftover pastries from breakfast to share! Would definitely stay again and couldn’t recommend more if you just want a small, convenient and affordable getaway! "

Couple’s holiday July

"Spent a week here with my boyfriend, and it was a lovely stay. Nice and quiet hotel, mainly couples staying when we were there. The area is beautiful with nice restaurants and bars around. Also super close to the beach. The pool was also very nice. Easy access with bus from Palma, only a 10 minute walk to the hotel. "

Great stay but don’t expect 5 star hotel

"Honestly really shocked at these reviews! This hotel is totally worth the amount you are paying. Got locked out of the hotel and they were quick to answer a very late night phone call to help us out. While it does get pretty warm in the rooms, I have had troubles with this in every place I’ve stayed as it is so hot right now. Like I said - it’s great for the price (the room, safety, location, etc), but do not go in expecting a 5 star sweet. Overall, would totally stay again (as two young travelers)!"
