"It was amazing to go and stay there. Once in a lifetime. The showers only had cold water but during the hot days they were perfect. You get very close to the wild life, we even had a tarantula in our room. Definitely worth experiencing "

"We visited Lakshmi during July which is in the middle of the local dry season. It was extremely hot at times but also variable so be prepared for changing weather patterns. Our booking was all inclusive including the initial taxi from Iquitos and subsequent boat ride to the lodge. Our guide, Adderly, was very knowledgeable about the local ecosystems and took us to a number of different locations around the reserve. "Lacking basic necessities. Electricity limited to 4 hours a day. After 10PM the whole lodge goes pitch black in the middle of the jungle.
