"I booked this hotel last-minute when my private guide had a family emergency, so I had to fly from Mombasa to Nairobi and completely rework the last 6 days of my trip. Since I had only planned to be in Nairobi to fly in and out, I hadn’t done any research on where to stay. Fortunately, Razana was a great choice! The room was big and beautiful, the perfect retreat after a chaotic day in the city or a long safari tour. The shower is amazing, minifridge was helpful, loved the sitting area and desk space. As a solo female traveler, I felt the staff went out of their way to make me feel extra safe and welcome. While I did not eat at the restaurant, the menu is extensive and fairly-priced, and they will arrange room service if crowded (it is very popular with locals—always a good sign). While there is some street noise, I always travel with my portable sound machine, so I had no issues. If I ever return to Nairobi, I would definitely choose Razana again. "
