"This is very much a self service hotel. Ideal for travellers who just want to get on with it, without having the fuss of interacting with anyone. Check in was via email and codes for hotel and room entry. All worked seamlessly. My room was clean and functional without being special and I was more than happy with that. "

"Lovely historical building, which does mean no elevator, but staff did offer to help with our bags. The staff were excellent, both the front desk and breakfast servers. We stayed in a twin bed room, which was comfortable and a good size. We had the egg and pancake option for breakfast, which is cooked when you arrive and gives you access to the continental options too. Tasty and decent value. We felt safe walking in the area, even after dark. Would stay here again."

"They quickly responded to a broken window issue and provided extra blankets and coffee. The shower was very nice! However, they don't have washcloths and the lighting was a bit dim. We would definitely recommend Zanzibar Locke."

"I can not say enough how fantastic this accommodation / location / staff were. Lisa was amazing with helping me sort issues with booking through Expedia (i will definitely book direct with them next time, but thank you Lisa, only for you i would have been lost. Simon the manager, what can i say, the customer service, helpfulness, kindness was second to none. Really really appreciate how you looked after us. Thank you so much. Fantastic service all round, highly recommend and will be returning....
