"Quite difficult to find, because of its location and alterations around the station. But very scenic near the river. Everything very good, but I would prefer free range eggs at breakfast. There was vegan cheese, yoghurt, and maybe also milk, but not free range eggs, which are important for vegetarians."

"As per usual, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. The quality of the rooms is excellent and we've returned back to the hotel three times in the past six months. The location is fantastic for travel and right in the middle of everything you would need e.g. shops, museums etc."

"I stayed for one night to go see Jon Culshaw at City Varieties Music Hall. I really like this hotel brand anyway and this particular hotel is 100% perfect. Possibly the best one that Ibis has. Excellent staff, a tremendous food offering and just the look and feel of every part of it. The rooms and the facilities in them are superb, the curiously endearing Scandinavian sounding voice in the lift, the quirky wooden key cards and the sausages on the breakfast buffet. All perfect "

"We booked this hotel as the reviews were good however there were numerous issues upon arriving at our room. The towels in the bathroom were folded up and as I had a shower I unfolded them. What dropped out of one was a Viagra jelly packet. Clearly the cleaners hadn’t looked or changed the towels. The shower temperature was great to start however it started to heat up to scolding every 30 seconds. We told reception and received a free drink for Viagra-gate and was told an engineer would check the shower. Upon return, after a concert at midnight when we checked, the lad on reception could not confirm if the shower had been looked at. He suggested we move however at gone 12am this was not an option as we wanted to go to bed. I don’t think this hotel is worth the money as it’s not cheap per night, although the staff tried their best. "

"Great place on a stop over. Not far from the M62. Clean spacious room and shower/bath. Breakfast option and lunch/dinner available. On site spa/gym/pool. Lovely grounds. Would recommend. "

"The hotel is actually connected to the railway station which is excellent if travelling by train. We loved our stay. The heating was broken in our room. We were offered a different room but decided to accept the offer of a heater intead. Only one issue regards breakfast. There was no option for vegetarian sausages was part of the main buffet. Also there was only one egg option which was fried. To order scrambled eggs would have incurred a whole breakfast upgrade. A bit disappointing so may not choose to have breakfast at a future stay."
