"Perfect Hotel for a St Ives Visit After much research, I chose this hotel and couldn’t have been happier. We previously stayed at the Carbis Bay Hotel, but since the G7 summit, prices there have soared, and the walk or train into town feels inconvenient. Sea view rooms are a must. We enjoyed stunning sunsets as boats returned to harbour and even spotted dolphins playing in the morning. The in-room binoculars were a brilliant touch. The hotel combines modern, stylish design with the charm of an older building, featuring winding corridors leading to the spa. The spa is sleek, with a well-sized pool, two excellent saunas, a jacuzzi, and loungers offering stunning bay views. A full range of treatments is available. The bar and restaurant are creatively decorated and maximise the views. Food and drinks were enjoyable and met expectations. Things to Know: • The walk to town is 7–8 minutes downhill and uphill on return via steps or a steep slope. • Train and bus stations are a 5-minute walk. Valet parking is efficient—use the bays opposite the entrance and give notice when you need your car. Overall: I was fully satisfied and will definitely return."

"Had a fantastic week at Gwithian… our happy place. It has a definite place in our hearts. The weather was amazing and Cornwall never fails to rejuvenate the soul. 106 Pool was a perfect base. "

"We stayed here as a family group of 10 incl. 3 generations. We found the house charming, and we were able to explore around Cornwall from Penzance to Tintagel from this central location. I chose to round up to 5 overall stars because the host was quick to assist when we needed a question answered and we were happy travelers, but I will note a few things which would've made the stay even better: We were only able to use the one shower on the ground floor because the one upstairs over the antique tub was very impractically tight. Assume you'll need to bathe or share one shower. It should be noted that the main staircase divides in one direction toward the bathroom and the bedroom with bunked beds, and then splits in the other direction toward the 3 remaining bedrooms. This means that the guests in those 3 bedrooms must go down one flight of stairs and up another to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Just want to note that for other travelers who may have difficulty on a lot of stairs in the dark. The clothes dryer vents inside, onto the floor. This creates a wet floor and a great deal of steam. While we wanted to dry our clothes, we didn't want to expose the house to that kind of steam, so we needed to open the back door and shut the door to the rest of the house whenever we needed to run that appliance. We would've much preferred just using a clothes line or drying rack, but none could be found. Overall, we enjoyed our stay & would consider returning!"

"Friendly staff and locals we felt welcomed and was kept happy. Food on the pricey side but that is due to the quality of the food on offer justified the price. Found the room well maintained and clean with basic facilities. Shower was always hot when we wanted a shower tea n coffee facilities provided and a TV which we didnt use."

"Absolutely beautiful home in a stunning location. We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children and it suited us perfectly. The pictures don't do it justice. Fully equipped but you do need to bring your own towels. A manual for the property would be useful. We're familiar with the local area but if you weren't, perhaps some recommendations and information about the bus service to St Ives would be handy. One star marked down for cleanliness due to the crockery needing a wash before use and some areas a little dusty (would suggest a deep clean before new arrivals). Only a minor point though and wouldn't hesitate to recommend! "
