"We requested a room on the first floor. They provided us with a handicapped accessible room. The ramp from our room went right to the handicapped parking area. It was so nice to be able to unload everything from our vehicle into our room. We were within walking distance of a Big Y grocery store, a Kohls department store and a Five Guys restaurant."

"I love this place. Next time I wish I could have a better view. I went there before the new rooms were added. Every time I went there, I stayed in the main building right upstairs from the check-in facing the water with my husband and I absolutely loved it. I was actually married there in the old ballroom. I was put in a room that I faced the side of the building and parking lot. I like it there because you can have your meals there if you want they should put a microwave in the rooms. I grew up there on the shore when I was a kid so it is a very pretty place. I think it’s understaffed. I saw the same woman there almost 3 shifts in a row. I think she was a manager. She was delivering drinks, which I thought was crazy and then I saw her the next morning at breakfast time being the hostess, I said to her, don’t you ever get a day off she said thank you for noticing. She was a very pleasant, nice woman, but I think it’s understaffed. I stayed there during the wrong time of year. It was spring break. Children were running up and down the hallway, which was not appropriate And they were with a parent. That’s what really got me - back in the day when I was a parent of young children, I would never let my children run up and down the hallways but times are different now -not for the better!!!"

"The owner was so helpful and friendly. When our car wouldn't start due to a dead battery, he called a friend to drive over to give us a jump (since the owner's car was a hybrid and he couldn't access his battery). The grounds are beautifully landscaped with lots of blooming trees and flowers. It's very conveniently located with a great cafe across the street."

Historic Essex Home w/ Large Yard Near Downtown!

Lovely Home in Great Location

"My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely home very much. We walked into town several times as the weather was beautiful. Our contact person checked in with us pretty much every day to ask if we needed anything. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again should the need arise."

COZY Maple Tree Cabin - Situated on 6 private acres - Get Away and RELAX 😎

Cabin in the Woods

"It is certainly a cabin in the quiet woods which you would normally find in northern Vermont. We loved everything about it. My Three Sons grew up tent camping in the Yale Forest and this was that, only with a log cabin replacing Eureka tents! We loved sitting around the massive firepit and feeding the flames with plenty of seasoned, dry hardwood, cooking several meals on the coals with pie irons and steak prongs. Just loved it. "

"My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Millhouse. Very clean, comfortable, and private, with seamless communication with the owners. And you can’t beat the location- 1 block walk to downtown Chester, which has fun restaurants and shopping. We look forward to staying there again! "
