"A wonderful stay, albeit only one night, that was everything we were hoping for and more. From the warm welcome to the large comfortable room, it really was fantastic. We ended up staying for dinner (nowhere else local as far as we could see) but we're so glad we did. "Property was full of character, arrived after a long drive to be quickly served dinner, happened to be steak night and food was delicious and a very generous size portion. Room was comfortable and had a great sleep. breakfast was also delicious, scrambled eggs cooked perfectly, not the solid rubbery type found in many establishments. will definitely stay again if in the area. "

"Lovely little pub, We stayed 2 nights. Barry the Barman and the owners etc were all so lovely and accommodating. Our room (twin) was very spacious, the beds very comfortable. Toiletries and towels provided. The breakfast was fantastic. Lovely pub and lovely little town to visit. "

"Excellent cooked breakfast. Nice quiet location. They do have band on at the weekend but not a problem on the second floor. Very helpful staff. No parking nearby but that's the same for type accommodation the town centre."

"Such a warm and friendly welcome for a solo traveler. Shown to my room which had great facilities if you require disabled facilities. Explained the key requirements for room access. The room was comfortable and extra heaters provided for a warm and cosy stay in such an old beautiful building.
